If I know that a ride will be brushy, I wear a jersey one size larger than normal. I cut a hole for my thumb right behind the cuff. I put my thumb through the hole in the jersey and then put my gloves on. Brush cannot rake the sleeve up, and the new micro-cuffs of jerseys are so small that they don't bother my hand at all.
